The Little Engine That Could

The classic story, The Little Engine That Could by Watty Piper, is the first book children receive throught the Imagination Library program. In April 2006, Mayor Bart Peterson read the book to local children through the Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library's "Call-a-Story" program. When Indianapolis-area children enrolled in Imagination Library received their first book, they were able to call in to year Mayor Peterson read that very book!
