The Mayor on Early Childhood

Mayor Bart Peterson is a regular contributor to Indy's Child magazine, a monthly parenting publication distributed throughout central Indiana. The Mayor's monthly column, "The Mayor on Early Childhood," addresses issues important to parents of young children in our city.

The most current column is entitled "A Full Day of Learning" and delves into what is really happening in today's high-quality kindergarten classrooms. Past columns have addresses issues such as early literacy, school readiness, getting ready for kindergarten, mothers and fathers, and crime prevention.
